About Sandia Peak Scottish Pipes and Drums

Sandia Peak Scottish Pipes and Drums (SPSPD) is a bagpipe and drum performance group, located in Albuquerque, NM against the beautiful backdrop of our Sandia mountains.

We are passionate about Scottish music, and the wonderful musicians in our community.  We not only support and encourage all our band members, but we support and encourage all the musicians within the larger New Mexican community and beyond.  Our members proudly wear the Hamilton Red tartan, created in honor of Alexander Hamilton, first US Secretary of the Treasury and founder of the US Coast Guard. We also take inspiration from the Cameron Lochiel clan, whose clan motto is "Let Us Unite".

Sandia Peak Scottish Pipes and Drums is a proud supporter of our Armed Forces, veterans, and first responders.

Sandia Peak Scottish Pipes and Drums is dedicated to teaching and promoting excellence in the art of Scottish bagpiping and drumming. We also aim to broaden Scottish cultural awareness through education, entertainment, and musical performances.

We are a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization, and all members are volunteers.
